T4-12  is the young adult and student ministry at Central Baptist Church.

T4-12  is an accronym for 1 Timothy 4:12, "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."

It has been estimated that there are approximately 70 000 students in Pretoria, and with Central Baptist having the University of Pretoria, Unisa and the Tshwane University of Technology on our doorstep it is a door of opportunity for us to share the Good News with students from across the world.  It is a joy for us to have a growing student ministry within our Church. 

We will often only have students with us for three or four years before they start working elsewhere in our country, on our continent or overseas.  We view  our student ministry as a wonderful opportunity to invest in the lives of dynamic young people who will seve the Lord in many different professions, countries and churches in the future.

At Central we also have many young working people, some of whom have grown up in the city, and some who have graduated in Pretoria and have remained in the city.

Bible study @ Central
We seek to provide an environment where young adults can be exposed to the Word of God and have meaningful Christian fellowship.  The details of this Bible study are:

Campus Outreach
Central has a partnership with Campus Outreach who are a University based ministry.  In Pretoria, Campus Outreach's  ministry is at Tukkies, primarily in the residences.  Together we are seeking to provide a spiritual family and home for students in Pretoria.  Campus Outreach has several opportunities for students to grow in their relationship with God while they are at University.

Sunday Evening Coffee Bar
Central has a coffee bar on Sunday evenings after the worship service during the University term aimed at young adults and students.  It has not been unusual for young adults and students to be drinking coffee, eating a vetkoek or toasted sandwich, having fellowship, and discussing theological issues several hours after the service has closed.

Older "Young Adults" and 30-somethings
We also have several Bible studies for older "young adults" and those in their 30's.  We also seek to come together several times per year for socials and weekends away for this age category...  

 First year Camp
First year students! We will also have a first year camp 14 to 16 January 2009. It will be held close to Delmas at Sonvalley campsite.
