Central Baptist family
Six months have passed since this Covid season started affecting our lives and even being an obstacle to our gathering of the church. These months however have not been wasted. We have learned a lot about video streaming and ministry making use of the internet. It has also been said by some members that the forced time at home with less pressure has been a God given opportunity to draw near to God in un-hurried devotions and meaningful time with the family at home. It has also prompted our members to be more active using the phone and social media to stay in touch and intentionally encourage one another.
Covid has not disappeared but infection rates are lower and we are now on lockdown level 1; giving us the opportunity to start meeting together again. We plan to start by returning to the 8:30am service at the Hill and 10:30am service at Arcadia from Sunday 27th September 2020. Streaming will still continue at 8:30am from the Hill and be available on the various social media platforms as before.
So much has happened behind the scenes to be able to do what has been done and this has happened because of a number of our members who have given of their time and talent week after week in sacrificial service. We thank God for each member and their willingness to use their gifts to edify the church.
Sadly the season has brought hardship to some in job losses or income reduction. Members have been generous in the support of the benevolent fund and in the regular giving enabling some relief to be brought to help those in need.
We give thanks to God for His grace to us and rejoice in the blessings of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Please contunue to pray for the church as we move forward that God's hand of mercy be on us to do all of His good will.
